“Back in the Springs training and studying. Gearing up for first competition this summer. Had a blast in Vancouver with Mark Pillay on a new routine. Hope you are all doing well!” – Liam
Liam competed in the short program on TSN on Feb. 13 at 7 AM PST. Updates on his Olympic experience will be posted.
“Liam is a fine young man. He’s worked hard and made it to Sochi. He deserved to be there and represented Canada well. Liam embodies what it means to be an Olympian. He is an awesome team member cheering his team on and doing his job as an athlete. I can’t believe it was his second ISU international skating competition at the Olympics. Can’t wait to see him grow and get more international experience. Sochi 2014 is one step in his journey of hundreds of hours of training and years of growing. The 3-4 minutes does not define the athlete and person he is. Let’s keep supporting him and doing what we can. He is a role model to us all.” from a Liam Firus’ fan

Thanks to our many friends, fans, and home (the Vancouver Skating Club) who came to support Liam. We want to thank those who helped with the organization and publicity around Liam’s Vancouver Stop-Over Signing Event on January 15th. We want to also give a special thanks to a couple of faithful fans who rushed to be there. One in particular who flew to Ottawa to watch him and came to see him that night. It was very touching for the family and friends. Thank you fans and friends. We won’t see Liam in person for awhile but we will see him on TV or streaming in February representing Canada at the Olympics.
You can see the links to other video or media from the day here as we collect them and if you’d to support Liam, information is there as well.
